FileMaker Cloud for AWS (formerly FileMaker Cloud 1.x) product deprecation
- FileMaker Cloud 1.x has been rebranded as FileMaker Cloud for AWS.
- A new cloud platform — FileMaker Cloud offered directly from FileMaker, Inc. — will be released in 2019. Initial rollout will be in the US only.
- More geographic regions for FileMaker Cloud will be added in a phased rollout.
- The new FileMaker Cloud offering will replace FileMaker Cloud for AWS.
- FileMaker Cloud and FileMaker Cloud for AWS will not have identical feature sets.
- FileMaker Cloud for AWS 1.18 is the last version that will be released.
- All sales of FileMaker Cloud for AWS on AWS Marketplace will cease on January 4, 2021. Additionally, existing customers will not be able to add new users to their subscription after this date.
- Support for all FileMaker Cloud for AWS versions will end on January 1, 2022.
- ASLA customers may continue to renew BYOL contracts for multiple years and also convert to BYOL past the deadline above. End of support for these FileMaker Cloud for AWS environments will remain January 1, 2022.

- Any contract expiring after the FileMaker Cloud for AWS end of support date of January 1, 2022 will not be eligible for conversion to BYOL.

Deprecation does not mean the immediate deletion of an API or technology. However, FileMaker, Inc. recommends that you migrate your solution to use other APIs, technologies, or alternative features of the product because the deprecated interfaces may be deleted from a future version of the application.
